Pera Fund — Supported Payment Methods by Region
Category: Pera Fund (Buy Crypto) SEO meta description: See which payment methods and currencies are available for buying ALGO and USDC in Pera Fund, by region. Credit cards, debit cards, ACH, and crypto conversions.
Overview
Pera Fund lets you buy ALGO and USDC directly inside Pera Wallet using fiat currency or by converting crypto from other blockchains. What's available to you depends on your region and the third-party providers that serve it.
This article covers what you can use and where. For the full step-by-step on how to buy, see How to Buy ALGO and USDC with a Credit Card.
Fiat Payment Methods
Fiat purchases in Pera Fund are powered by Meld's on-ramp API, which connects you to multiple regulated providers depending on your location.
Payment methods available:
Method | Description | Typical processing time |
|---|---|---|
Credit card | Visa, Mastercard | Minutes |
Debit card | Visa, Mastercard | Minutes |
ACH transfer | US bank accounts | 1–3 business days |
Card payments settle fastest. ACH transfers take longer because they clear through the traditional banking system, but may have higher purchase limits and lower fees depending on the provider.
Fiat currencies supported
Supported fiat currencies vary by provider and region. Common ones include:
- USD (US Dollar)
- EUR (Euro)
- GBP (British Pound)
- CAD (Canadian Dollar)
- AUD (Australian Dollar)
- BRL (Brazilian Real)
The exact list depends on which provider serves your location. When you start a purchase in Pera Fund, the available currencies and payment methods for your region will be displayed automatically.
Regional availability
Fiat on-ramping requires identity verification (KYC) through the third-party provider. Availability is subject to local regulations. Some regions may have limited or no fiat on-ramp access.
Not available in your region? You can still fund your wallet by:
- Transferring ALGO or USDC from an exchange — see Transferring from an Exchange
- Converting crypto from other blockchains using Pera Fund's crypto option (below)
- Receiving ALGO or USDC from another wallet
For country-specific availability, see Can I use Pera Wallet in my country?
Crypto Conversions
Crypto-to-ALGO/USDC conversions in Pera Fund are powered by XO Swap API from Exodus. These don't require KYC and are available more broadly.

FAQ
Which option has lower fees — card or crypto? Crypto conversions generally have lower fees than card purchases (which include card processing fees from the provider). However, you also need to factor in the source network's gas/transaction fee for sending crypto to the deposit address.
Why is my card being declined? Many banks flag crypto purchases as high-risk and block them by default. Contact your bank to authorize the transaction, or try a different card. This isn't a Pera issue — it's your card issuer's fraud protection.
Can I use Apple Pay or Google Pay? This depends on the third-party provider serving your region. Some providers support mobile payment methods. You'll see the available options during checkout.
Is KYC required for crypto conversions? Generally no — crypto-to-crypto conversions through XO Swap don't require identity verification. Fiat purchases almost always require KYC.
I sent crypto on the wrong network. Can I recover it? Unfortunately, sending crypto on the wrong network usually results in permanent loss. Always verify the network matches exactly what Pera Fund specifies before sending.
